Overall Overview: This culminating summative unit asks students to reflect on the Collection Three: A Move Toward Freedom texts and create a visual presentation in which they identify four abolitionists to write a brief biographical sketch about and create an Abolitionist Hall of Fame to be presented to the class. Students will demonstrate their knowledge of the texts in the collection by completing a cumulative summative multiple choice exam.

Learning Goal(s): Students will be able to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of the Collection Three texts by creating a visual presentation (The Abolitionist Hall of Fame) and completing a summative exam.

Materials included:

•Playlist for students to reference and complete as they are working through the activities

•All handouts necessary to print and go

•Two culminating summative assessments

•Test with answer key

•Daily instructions for the teacher
