I don't know about you, but collective nouns is a new standard for me and let's be honest, it's not the most exciting standard to teach. I made it fun with this engaging game that can be done with partners or during literacy centers.
All you have to do is print it in color on card stock. Or, to save your color ink, print it in black and white at school on colored cardstock. Then laminate and you're ready to play!
I made the playing cards easy to prep. Just two cuts from your paper cutter and the cards are ready!
Put the playing cards in a ziplock for safe storage.
I've also included a differentiated extension activity to meet the needs of your learners. The first activity has the students fill-in-the-blank using the cards from the game. The second activity has students make a list of 5 collective nouns and then they can illustrate them.
I hope your students have as much fun playing this game as mine did!
