Getting students to write an outline for their college admissions essays can be a challenge, especially because admissions essays do not necessarily follow a traditional 5-paragraph structure. In this 6 page packet, you'll be able to walk students step-by-step through the brainstorming and outlining process.
Students can choose from 3 different brainstorming activities depending on their personal preference. Traditional and simplified outline structures are reviewed on the final pages.
This activity can either be done in class or given to students to complete on their own if they need extra support to get started on their essays.
