This resource is all about college and choosing a future career. Students are never too young to begin thinking about their future and what they want to be when they grow up! The unit begins with a set of basic college vocabulary, such as major and application. Then there's ab informational big book that can be printed or projected and read aloud together. It answers most of the questions students will have about college, such as, "Is college hard?" and "Do you live at the college?". There's a college-shaped booklet that asks students comprehension questions about the text, for them to make. Also included are other activities such as designing a new mascot and filling out a sample college application to Elementary College. Finally, there are cooperative learning activities and a final reflection project. This unit can be used anytime of the year and is great to tie in with growth mindset!
