College and Career Readiness is at the heart of teaching Common Core

In this whole group activity for college and career readiness students will discuss healthly habits which will prepare them for college. Students will create a classroom bulletin board displaying the habits they will need to adopt in order to achieve their goals.

Being College Bound Starts With Goal Setting and Good Habits!

Do you set goals with your students? This is a fabulous follow up activity and discussion about what it takes to achieve those goals! The target audience is 1-3rd graders so the good habits cards are written to be age appropriate. An extension activity that students can complete independently is also included for you.

What is included:

→ Poster template for you to blow up on a poster maker, tile print, or project and trace onto bulletin board paper (my favorite method)

→ Good and bad habits cards for students to discuss and sort

→ An individual pack your backpack with good habits activity sheet

This resource requires some advanced preparation

In advance of completing this activity with your students you will need to use the bulletin board image to create a poster. You can either blow it up with a poster maker, use your printer’s tile print option to make a poster, or project it and trace onto a bulletin board. Do what will work best for you!
