These ABC book projects are an engaging and relevant activity to review and introduce Colonial America and Revolutionary War content. These ongoing projects incorporate CCSS for domain specific vocabulary, main idea/details, summarizing, inferences, and using multiple sources. STUDENT SAMPLES, teacher notes, a parent letter, two differentiated student templates, word banks, rubrics, and a mega Colonial literature resource section provide everything needed for students to work independently reviewing and discovering content pertaining to the Thirteen Colonies and the Revolutionary War. In addition, it provides practice in composing informational sentences based on research and citing sources on a Works Cited page as well. This project serves as an excellent test review, assessment, and is ideal for leaving with substitute teachers too!
