To become familiar with the social classes, housing and clothing styles, food and drink, recreational activities, educational system, and means of transportation and communication in Colonial America.
1 class period
This lesson involves students in a fun and challenging contest to see who can correctly answer the most words, names, and terms in a series of 50 questions.
Class members learn about the way of life of settlers in Colonial America during the 1600s and 1700s. I usually tell my students that they can work either individually or with one other student.
All answers are on the first page of the activity in a list of words, names, and terms.
Teacher Instructions and answer key included.
