PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Few people know the history of Japan and Taiwan, and how inextricably linked they were. Taiwan was colonized, with the blessing of China, albeit as a spoil of war, in 1895. While the Japanese were strict, they educated, modernized and fostered the Taiwanese nation-state. By 1925, Taiwanese cities were as modern and convenient as most small- mid size American cities.

Alas, Japan grew too aggressive and the war in China and the Pacific sent them back to their Island for good. I ask you, who were the Taiwanese, before and after colonization? This PPT does not include the policies of the Kuomintang era; that is a discussion for another day.

This is most suitable for younger children. I have a longer one for older kids.
