Here’s a fun way to review vocabulary words, and to get your students moving. The game is called I have… Who has…. To play, pass out a card to each student. If you have more than 20 students, some students will have to partner up. The person who has the “start” card goes to the front of the room, and reads it to the class. For example, the card may say, “Who has a person who mends shoes?”.
The other students will read their cards to themselves to see if they have the answer to the question. If the student has the answer to the question, he/she will run up and stand next to the previous child, and read his/her card. In this example, the corresponding card says, “I have cobbler. Who has a person who makes objects out of iron?” The game continues until all 20 cards have been read. If you want to add a twist, time the students to see if they can beat their previous time.
