Students will complete a "silent scavenger hunt" where they will navigate around the room examining each colony's station. Students will create groups and, before they are turned loose, divide up the responsibilities. This lesson is a great introduction to the 13 colonies, especially if examining the general reasons for settlement (religion, wealth, political freedoms).
This resource includes a paper in-class version and a 1:1 Google compatible version to be used in conjunction with Google Classroom. Just follow the included instructions for how to access the Google version, then share the resource through Google or assign via Google Classroom. This will allow students to type directly into document!
Included are: Student handout for recording information, 13 High Quality Colony brief biographies, blank student maps. The blank maps can be used to have students record each colony's geographic location as they visit each station.
