Have a student that needs a visual of where he or she is with their behavior? Many students, especially those with disabilities, need more than auditory input for when they are making good choices, in a warning period, or have made a negative choice. This color behavior chart can be a great resource that adds the visual to the auditory when you are praising a student (green), when you are giving a student a warning (orange), or when you are telling a student of a negative choice they have made (red). For student's with more behavior needs and attention, this chart could be tied to a more detailed behavior plan. The chart could also be used as a part of a whole class behavior management system.
There are two pages to this packet. There is a larger version that you could have on your main whiteboard for the whole class to see. Then there is a small version that could be used for more individual students or situations. Put the smaller one on your clipboard that you carry around, on students' desks, or in other areas around the room.
