Description

Included are instructions and 3 short interactive books that work on identifying colors and forming simple sentences. Each page follows a predictable pattern "The (bird/car/pizza) is ________." Students match the words "The" "bird" and "is" to the sentence written under each picture. Then, students must identify the color of the object on the page and find the corresponding written color word to velcro to the page.

I have used these books in my class during one-on-one reading instruction with my beginning readers with autism (both verbal and nonverbal). They seem to catch on pretty quick and can then complete this activity alone during independent work time.
