Our Color Pack includes 12 books to make with students: 11 class books and one individual book that reinforces color names and gives students the opportunity to practice writing their own name in the individual book.
The first 11 pages are colored cover pages for each class book. Print these pages with a color printer.
The first 11 books can be compiled to make 11 class books. One about Red, one about Blue, etc.
Students can trace the dotted words, write their name on the bottom line, and color a picture that matches the color words on that page. The teacher compiles all of the red pages (or whichever color you are working on) into a class book.
Tip: I number the pages with each child’s class number and place a numbered class list inside the cover of each class book. The list becomes the table of contents and children can quickly find their page in our class books by simply looking for their class number.
The next book, What I Wore, is designed to provide practice with name writing while learning color words. Students write their name at the beginning of each line, they trace the color word, and illustrate the clothing item in that color.
This makes an individual book for each child.
The last page, pink, is about what they drank, pink lemonade!
