Kids love to color, so why not let them color while they learn sight words?
I designed these color-by-code activities as a way to help my little learners practice sight words in a fun way. My students would beg for page after page, especially during days when we would have indoor recess. (Learning during Recess!)
This bundle is packed with 80 pages: 8 images each with 10 differentiated pages. This allows you to provide specific practice on the word each child needs most. In the top right corner there is a symbol that coordinates with one of 10 lists of Fry Words.
In my classroom, I check learners’ sight word mastery weekly. Each child then took home a check list (included in this pack!) to practice the words. In class, they would have one center during literacy rotations each day dedicated to sight words. Friday Fun Day sight word station was typically either Color-by-Code or Watercolor Sight Words.
