Use this worksheet is to help students get more practice when preparing to learn how to write chemical formulas.
Many students get confused about what anions and cations are. So, when they begin to learn how to name compounds they put anions first, when they should put cations. Students will see "Na" on this worksheet and look at their periodic table and see if it is a cation or anion by looking to see if it is on the left side or right side of the periodic table.
This worksheet is a simple, but creative way to have students practice cations and anions.
