This is a game that targets basic category knowledge of colors and can be expanded to target other categories (food, animals, holidays, etc.) if desired. I also like to use it with my articulation groups to give them a little push toward generalization (they've gotta be thinking about something other than just their articulation).
Basically, each student will need a game piece. They draw a color card (or bingo chips, which is what I usually use). They then advance their game piece to the next space on the game board with an item written on it associated with the color they drew. Some can have more than 1 color (e.g. bananas can be green or yellow, 4th of July is red or blue). If they draw white, they do not move. The student then has to make a sentence with the word they are on, name the category that item is from, name something associated with that item, name other attributes of the item (like function and location), anything you desire!
