Visual learners having difficulty learning sight words? Looking for a way to differentiate sight word practice? Have them practice using color sets. Each student will start off with one color set (10 sight words) and will not move on to the next set until those 10 are mastered. Angela may work with her green set for three weeks, while Justice breezes through and is quickly working on the green, purple, and blue sets. Both are working and both are progressing. Send a set home and keep a set at school to use in your literacy center.
