This color organizer toolbox from Recollections is a clean and easy way to keep your crayons and markers organized within your classroom. No more spending wasted time digging through baskets and baskets of crayons trying to find the color needed to complete a classwork assignment or that favorite coloring page during indoor recess!
This toolbox was purchased at Michaels for under $10 using one of their weekly coupons. You can also use these labels in lieu of the toolbox by simply placing them on baskets, cabinets, pencil cases, and more!
I’ve included the basic colors in which to place crayons or markers in this unit-red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, black, white, brown, and tan. Since this drawer only has nine drawers, simply decide if you’d like to combine black and white or white and tan, or none if you’d like to keep the basic colors only in your toolbox. Sort your crayons or markers according to the main color family-this is a great way to reiterate main idea and classification with your students! BONUS!
Simply print, cut, glue and fill and you have your very own crayon and/or marker organizer to display in your classroom. *I used a glue runner to place a strip of glue on the top and bottom of each label. Place onto the front of the inside of each drawer and that’s it! This toolbox works great with crayons or Pip Squeak markers, and will hold regular sized Crayola markers and Sharpies on a diagonal.
This toolbox will save you (and your little ones) a lot of time and sanity by having extra crayons and markers available and ready to use at a moments notice without the wasted digging time. You’ll thank me later :P
