This holiday picture contains both multiplication and division problems. This is a useful resource for independent work as students practice their facts. This worksheet is a fun introduction to division with only two possible answers for them of the basic multiplication facts.
Steps are outlined to guide the students to begin with multiplication problems and in what order to color. They will have a firmer understanding of the multiples of 4, 3, 2&3, 5 and even square numbers!
After that is complete they will begin to explore division with solving for the quotient.
All problems have an answer of 4 or 3. With Common Core students are beginning to multiple and divide in grade 3, so this is an asset for many grade levels as a practice, review and fun holiday paper!
Students will also engage their problem solving skills to self check and determine if they are making any mistakes. All squares are identical, so they must solve the math problems to watch the picture unfold. This picture is a Christmas tree.
