Combine some fun coloring with multiplication! To discover the mystery picture, students will need to know some multiplication facts; and as a bonus you can ask them to demonstrate how they create a factor tree and find Prime Factorization. A sample is provided for their ease of understanding this concept to simply write fact families into prime factorization. Using exponents will even take this up one step. You can make that part optional for the higher level students.
All answers will be either one of five products: 12, 24, 36, 40, and 48.
This is great independent work or small group work for your class this spring!
