These sight words are the basic color and number words. The words are printed on circle shapes. There are two different sets - one is on a green background to be printed on a color printer and the other is on a white background so it can be printed on colored paper to save on ink.
Each student gets a circle. The teacher puts down the head of the word worm on the floor. The first student puts down his/her sight word and reads it. Each of the other students must read the sight words that are already a part of the word worm before they add their sight word to the worm. If a student has difficulty with a word, he/she may ask a classmate for help.
This is a great way to practice the sight words with your class. It is fun and involves movement which always keeps my class interested.
