Your students will love sorting different pictures by color in this fun sorting game! There are eleven different color mats included for sorting the cards into categories, which is an important math skill: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, pink, white, gray, black and brown. There are 66 different pictures that can be sorted onto the mats (6 pictures each for the eleven colors mentioned above). I chose pictures that would be each particular color in real life (example = strawberries are red), so your students will learn to associate real life objects with each color. Each picture is labeled for early reading and decoding skills. This product comes in both a full color version and in black and white line, so the black and white line pictures can be used as an assessment of students’ fine motor (coloring) skills and of their understanding about the real life color of each picture.
