I use this PowerPoint Presentation to continue my lessons on Color, Color Value and Color Theory or Schemes. This is for high school students, but could be used for middle school aged students or possibly younger.
This presentations covers color value to start, at which point I stop the presentation and have the students start my worksheet on Color Value (available in my shop). Next it introduces all of the color schemes: Complimentary Colors, Split-Complementary Colors, Monochromatic, Analogous, Warm, and Cool Colors. It gives visual examples of each color scheme being used in an artwork.
The presentation concludes with not one, but two possible projects on color schemes (I give my students the option of completing either one) and includes step by step instructions.
