Product Description
This lesson an introduction to Primary, Secondary, Tertiary and Neutral colors in the form of a color wheel. It can be followed up with more in depth instruction on each type of color, however this lesson allows students to begin working with the terms - many of which they may already know - and mixing their own colors in an informed way.
In an effort to simplify the students ability to grasp these concepts and due to the frequent lack of materials available to art teachers, I have paired this lesson down to require only one sheet of paper per student, one pencil and basic paint colors (or shared color pencils).
In this lesson you will find simplified instructions, so that this project may be done by any teacher - regardless of art background, definitions - in plain English and state sanctioned language, examples from an Art II class (second year of high school art) as well as a grading rubric and a few tips to make this project easier.
