What Color Do You See?
This PowerPoint game is great for introducing color sight words or for students that need remediation. It is also great for putting up on the big screen and doing as a class. Kids also love to play this game when they finish early with their work. Sometimes I would use PowerPoint games as an incentive for students that were extra slow at finishing their work or students who didn't want to finish their work.
This game teaches the student to identify the color words red, yellow, blue, green, orange, gray, purple, black, white, and pink. The question is read and the student must click on the word that matches the color of the shape they see.
This game has the question written at the top of the screen and also reads the question to the student. It tells the child when the student gets an answer correct or incorrect. The game also ends with fireworks and clapping so the students feel like they did a good job.
This game stops at the end, so when the student finishes, you will have to exit out for them on the bottom left side button. I did this so that the kids couldn't finish the game and change anything in the slides by pushing buttons. (Don't let the kids see how you exit out. Some of my kids figured it out by watching me.)
