Coloring sheets targeting spatial and qualitative directions in Halloween scenes!!
This product includes four picture scenes and four instruction sheets. Each instruction sheet includes ten spatial directions and six qualitative directions for lots of practice! Targeted spatial concepts include: in, on, in front, behind, next to, above, under, between, corner, around, bottom, and top. Targeted qualitative concepts include: large, small, medium-sized, tall, short, round, hard, open, closed, and sharp.
To prepare: Print a scene for each student in a group. Print matching direction sheet(s) to go along with each scene – for adult use.
To use: Distribute scenes to students. I would suggest reviewing the items in the scene to make sure that students feel comfortable with the objects/people/vocabulary before starting the activity. Read each direction and have the student(s) follow the direction. You can choose to include the specific colors based on the students’ ability levels. The activity would be more of a challenge remembering the direction as well as the specific color to use than just remembering the direction to follow.
