♥ Color of the Week: Green
It is very important to understand the process of learning when teaching abstract concept like colors. One of the best ways to help students when mastering their colors is through the use of examples and of course, a lot of repetition.
This product is perfect for students working on the classic theme "COLORS". This set can be used for morning work, literacy center, early finishers, homework pages, activities to leave for substitute teachers, and more.
This set includes 55 pages and features the color: GREEN! It also features additional vocabulary words related to things that are green: frog, turtle, cactus, shamrock, pine, pear.
When you buy this set, you get 55 pages with a variety of activities to learn and practice the indicated color and vocabulary words.
It is very important to have everything ready before you bring your students into each activity. For most of the activities, students will just need their regular school items and this set of worksheets to work. However, for some activities you will need further materials:
•For the activity of hand printing, you will need paint and plenty of towels and water for cleaning up!
•For the collage (cut out and glue), you will need old magazines, scissors and glue.
•For the craft activity -make holes and thread-, you may print the activity on heavy cardstock and even laminate. You will need a strip of yarn for each student and a hole punch.
• For the “roll and write” activity, you will need a die.
•For the write the room activity, I recommend you to place the posters included in this set around the classroom (they can be printed on card stock and laminated). Also, students may need a clipboard while walking around the classroom and recording their words.
• For the word work/spell with numbers activity, I have included a page that shows the code on a telephone keypad. (two versions: uppercase/lowercase)
•For the dab the dots activities, each student will need a bingo dauber, “Dot" paint markers (or even crayons).
I have also added a cover page so you can make these activities into a nice booklet. (Just staple the cover and all the pages together)
