Product Description
Color imagery in The Great Gatsby is a fun thread to follow throughout the novel. This activity allows students to examine a specific color as they read, and then as a class, prompt discussion about each color's significance. I, personally, photocopy each individual handout on its actual-color paper to make it even more enticing. I have found that class discussion abounds regarding the significance of color in the novel, culminating with the collision of Gatsby's yellow car and Myrtle in Chapter 7.
