I use this daily with my kinder kiddos. At the moment, it is just a powerpoint that you have to change the slides but you can set it up to change each slide after 2 or 3 seconds - I recommend maybe 2 seconds.
This is what I do....I start at week 38 and I have all the words. Then, I backdate each week and pull 3 words off per week...all the way to week 1, where there is only 3 words. I have learned that it's much easier to delete slides than to add them. I hope this makes sense. So, I label each week with a beginning slide "Week 1" or "Week 2" with only those words. This way, it starts all over automatically with only the words that they have learned thus far. This is so easy! So as the kids come in and sit on the rug, the powerpoint is scrolling and they read them each morning while you are taking care of folders, etc.... The coolest thing is I have learned that I can take a higher kiddo and let them scroll through this with a struggler and it's great. In fact, one of my special jobs this year, may be to let somebody weekly (or so) take a clipboard with names during centers and take them to the computer and do this with them. Kids love being the teacher :)
The font that I use is an ABC font that I downloaded from software years ago. I'm real anal about the kids only seeing the correct font when they are learning to write. If you do not like the font you have, send me a message with your email and I will attempt to email you the font program that I use. If you do not have powerpoint, I can save this in PDF for you.
One more thing, this is the order that I teach words in and I know somebody said they were new to kindergarten....so if you need these sight words on cards for the kids to take home, email me. I've used those for years. They are really organized with the week number at the bottom of the word. I print those on bright cardstock, cut them out for the kids, and stick them in a pencil bag for them to take home daily. This is a great way to make sight words their responsibility and not so much yours.
