Inspired by the colorful shack sculptures created by prolific artist Beverly Buchanan, this time-lapsed video is a great art lesson to use in the classroom and for distanced learning. This Video Includes:

Step-by-step instructions on how to create a Colorful Shack using simple materials.(Feel free to substitute any of the listed materials for other materials you have and to pause the video as much as needed.)

Use Google to search for shack sculptures by Beverly Buchanan and actual shack structures. Also purchase our Prolific Black Visual Artists Coloring Book to find one of the coloring portrait sheets featuring Ms. Buchanan.
