This is a simple activity, practicing grande y pequeño and short sentences. The letter A is used a lot so you can practice the Spanish A sound with your students. This packet includes a summary page where the vocabulary is listed (along with the sentences) so you can focus on the A sound. There are also two words on a page (a total of ten large flashcards); each word has a picture to color and a sentence to practice with it. There are five cards with sentences and five cards without sentences. The ones without sentences can be used for conversation practice. For instance, "¿qué es? Es un caracol. ¿El caracol es grande o es pequeño?" and "¿el caracol es rápido o lento?" etc. You may also use these cards for a matching game. Students must say the sentence out loud when they flip the cards over, which is a bit more challenging with the cards without words.
