View a three minute time-lapse of Kaleidoscope Star being colored with felt pen with an iris design. The "iris" design is a simple technique that resembles the structure of an iris or a camera aperture.

Materials: Felt pen on white paper, pencil, a ruler and metallic colored-pencil on black paper. I like to use a hard lead pencil (9H) to draw the original structure.
