This package contains 3 science hands on lessons on investigating primary and secondary colors with students pre-K to 1st grade, photos to use for circle maps for each primary color, 2 literacy station ideas and one recording sheet, lab sheets, suggestion for an ipad app, and youtube video links to support lessons.
All 3 hands on lessons are written in the 5 E model. There are minimal materials required. They will need clear plastic cups, ice trays, white paper towels, food coloring and play dough. It can be store bought or home made.
Also includes a vocabulary cards for primary and secondary colors, you can use the picture of capillary action to make another card if you want to add it, but it might be too advanced for lower grade kids.
There are several book suggestions to use when doing this unit.
Also included are 2 suggestions for science/ literacy stations. One has a recording sheet included.
