Colors to Words Clip It Game: This game is designed to teach students to recognize the words for eight colors: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, brown, and black. There are three levels that you can use after the students master each step or you can use the different levels for differentiated instruction.
The first level lists the word in the same color as the name. Students will be successful just matching the colors without recognizing the word. This will, however, help them learn to associate the word with the color.
For level two, the word is in black and students must choose the color of the word. This level is perfect for a fun assessment tool too.
Level three is a challenge level and is perfect for a challenging game. The word is formatted in a different color from what the word reads. The students must still select the color that the word reads. Your students will have fun because they’ll find it fun to try to match the colors and separate the color that they see (and what their brain will automatically see). It’s a fun color brain game.
