These clip cards aim to help reinforce your students/child's knowledge of colours. Students can choose a card and use a peg to match the word for the colour to the correct image displaying that colour.
I have included THREE (3) version of this activity:
1. This is the standard version that requires students to look at the word, read it and clip the peg onto the correct colour splash.
2. This version aims to support those students requiring more assistance in matching the word to the colour, by having the colour of the ink march the name of the colour.
3. The is an advanced version based on the ‘Stroop effect’ – that is when the name of a colour (e.g., "blue", "green", or "red") is printed in a colour that is not denoted by the name (e.g., the word "red" printed in blue ink instead of red ink), naming the colour of the word takes longer and is more prone to errors than when the colour of the ink matches the name of the colour.
