Reading, sequencing, writing, graphing, tally tables, interpreting data, and proper and common nouns are covered in this one product.

The following are included:
~Flip Book: Students can read to be informed about Christopher Columbus and his journey while making a cute flip book.

~Little Book: This book has the exact same content as the flip book, but gives you an option to use less paper when copying. It should be run front to back and then cut in half to assemble.

~Sequence Events: Students write a factual sentence to match each picture and then cut apart and glue in order the events of Columbus’ journey.

~Writing: Students have the opportunity to write a factual paragraph about Columbus and then illustrate.

~Quiz: The quiz covers the most important facts about Columbus covered in the little books. It has ten questions and is multiple choice, true/false, and has one place to illustrate and label to check understanding.

~Spin, Tally & Graph: In this math activity, the students use a spinner with pictures of Columbus, a compass, a telescope, and a ship and spin thirty times to create data for a tally table. Students then convert the data to a bar graph and answer questions about the data.

~Color by Sum: Students write sums to addition problems within ten and then color the picture of Columbus’ ship by code.

~Sorting Center: Students sort nouns into groups: Common or Proper Nouns. There is an optional recording sheet.

~Sorting Printable: This contains the same words as the center. Students read nouns, then cut and glue them onto the sorting sheet under the headings “Common Nouns” and Proper Nouns”.
