In this packet you will find 3 different sets of write the room cards. You can find and use the one that best fits your needs. You may still find uses for the other sets, for word walls, vocabulary words, pocket chart activities. You will also find a “word bank” with the words. If you put those in page protectors and inside a folder (the version with the brads for holding hole punched pages), you have an “on the go” mini word wall for independent writing or another center! It is common core aligned and covers these standards:

RF.K1d I can name all my letters.
RF.K 3a,b I can say my letter sounds.

K.MD.3 I can compare, sort objects and tell which has more or less.
You will find a survey, writing pages with and without prompts, a pocket chart activity that incorporates sorting words by beginning sound, directions to make a sailor hat, upper to lowercase letter matching, matching beginning sounds to letters as well as worksheets that practice the same skill. There are also 2 different “write the room” response sheets! It includes thinking maps/graphic organizers, including a Venn Diagram.
