I have a very visual mind. Whilst working with Year 1 and 2 last year, I found that students consistently confused column and bar graphs. Whilst walking past the town hall, I suddenly has some inspiration and the next week we talked about the columns that hold up the front of the town hall and 'chocolate' bar graphs. It worked really well for the majority. Now that I'm doing STEM and students will need to collect and display data, I wanted an easy reference poster. I hope you enjoy.

Included are the column segments in case you want your students to make their own column and bar graphs (more files added soon!)
