***Practice structuring the numbers 7-12 with this FUN game!***
Materials: For each game you will need two players, one game board (run on cardstock), a set of colored counters for each player, the set of numeral and wild cards for each game (also run on cardstock, preferably a color you cannot see through) OR a 6 sided die with numerals 7,8,9,10,11,12.
Directions: This is a great game for building fluency with structuring the numbers seven to twelve. If using the cards, they should be placed in the middle of the table facing down. If you are using the die, you would not need to put any cards out. Players take turns drawing a card or rolling the die. They will need to mark any combination on the board that equals the number drawn/rolled. Only one chip per turn.
If you are playing with the cards and a wild card is drawn, the student may pick the location of their chip. If a card is drawn and the student cannot make a play, they lose their turn.
When a player has three chips in a row, they win that game and they place a chip on one of their circles at the bottom. Clear the chips after every game. The first player to win three games is the winner!
Additional support: If needed, students can use a bead rack to help them solve.
