Students will practice combining like terms and applying the distributive property with these task cards. The cards are sorted into groups with varying levels of complexity, such as the number of variables and whether or not the distributive property is used. This allows you to differentiate by selecting cards that are appropriate for each student group.
Two sets of cards are provided. One set includes QR codes to allow students to self-check their work using phones or other devices. Don't have technology? That's OK! A version without codes is provided, too.
This activity is low-prep and high-engagement. Use these task cards to replace a worksheet, for fun test review, and even for math centers.
Inside you'll find:
*Detailed instructions and standards correlation
*Two sets of 24 task cards
*File folder label for storage
*Recording sheet for student work
I hope your students love this activity! As always, please feel free to provide feedback on how your students liked it and what could be better. :)
