Ever noticed that you're standing in front of your class singing a song about snowing and it starts to snow? This is the magical lesson that makes it happen! This is a lesson that focuses on melody and rhythm in a step-by-step process. Your students will learn two winter-themed songs (non-religious). With adorable and original snowman clipart, this lesson is sure to be memorable through some mallet work on tuned percussion.
This is a 45 minute - 1 hour 2nd-grade lesson (PK - 3 also appropriate) that comes with a 21-slide PowerPoint, Descending Solfege Worksheet in PDF format, MS Word and PNG format (for ease of print), and MS Word lesson plan including NAFME standards, essential questions & big idea, goals/ objectives, list of activities, procedures, differentiation for hi - low levels, and list of resources.
