Product Description
Enjoy these lessons! The Ready Gen teacher guide can be bulky and confusing when teaching in front of Kindergarten students, these lessons keep it organized and easy to follow. It also allows your reading and writing block to be consistent. Message me if you have any questions, concerns, or would like addition support! :) Happy teaching!

This is a SmartNotebook file to compliment the ReadyGen Reading Program (Unit 3, Module A - Predicting Change) Lessons 1-7. The book that accompanies these lessons is Come On, Rain! Some essential questions and reading focuses include:
Reading Focus: Readers understand characters have different experiences in texts and react in different ways.
Essential Questions: Why do characters react in certain ways? How do writers use experiences to tell/write stories?
Reading Focus: Learners understand that we can use observations and ask questions to predict change.
Essential Questions: Why do characters react in certain ways? How do writers use experiences to tell/write stories?
There are also writing lessons included which allow students to plan a story, write the story, and edit or revise. This can be tailored to meet your individual teaching style or even use in hand with the workshop model.

I have also included a random word chooser so that you can ensure you are calling on each student at least once per lesson. The students are excited to see that the SmartBoard "picked" them to answer a question. It engages them in learning and allows you to be an accountable teacher!

I have included images and clip art from Google Image search for the purpose of supporting my special education students that need a visual image to associate with vocabulary words. I also like to include an action or motion for many of the words. The vocabulary slide allows for word study and conversations about what the words might mean or when we may hear them in our everyday lives.
