Teach your students how to build fractions with these fun story problems. Students draw pictures, so they can visualize the fractions. This helps students develop number sense, problem solving skills, and critical thinking skills.
Each problem is broken down into 3 parts. The first frame describes the total amount of pieces or objects in the problem. The second frame describes how many objects each person gets. The third frame is for writing the fraction of objects that each person gets.
Altogether, 8 story problems are included. This is a great way to teach your students how to record and synthesize information when solving a math problem.
