Teach your students how to subtract half of a double with these fun story problems. Students draw pictures in order to visualize the math problems. This helps students develop number sense, problem solving skills, and critical thinking skills.
Each problem is broken down into 3 parts. The first frame describes the total number of objects. The second frame tells how many are taken away. The third frame is for the difference.
Altogether, 10 story problems are included. It covers 2-1 up to 20-10. This is a great way to teach your students how to record and synthesize information when solving a math problem.
