10 Literature Comic Templates Include:

Book Breakdown- This template uses a comic page styled form to break down the factors of a book. Students are asked to describe and draw the main character, plot, setting, conflict, and theme…using prompts.

Book Review- Students use guided prompts and panels to review a book and demonstrate their knowledge of the content.

Character Profile- A comic page template provides prompts to help students profile a character from a book. Panels give space for drawing and descriptions.

Book Chapter Summary - Students use four panels to draw elements of a chapter (beginning, conflict, middle, end) and space is also provided for drawing the main character (and showing their emotion during the chapter).

Mood/Tone – Students respond to organized information and show the mood of a scene in a book (in a comic panel.)

Newspaper This template is designed to look like a newspaper, but included spaces for key information such as important event in book, summary, general book information, and space for a picture of the event.

Character Point of View- This template provides space for students to explain and draw a conflict in the book. On either side of the conflict panel, space is provide to draw two characters who can express their opposing views in word balloons.

Setting- This template asks for general book information and prompts students to understand and draw the setting in the book.

Comic Cover Students illustrate a comic cover-styled template and provide details about the book. Tip: Makes for a great Lit portfolio cover!

Yearbook- This template is designed to look like a yearbook and works best for stories with lots of characters. Students simply name and draw characters in the yearbook-styled photo spaces. Students can determine which characters are best suited for categories such as “most changed”, “funniest”, “class hero”, “class leader”, and so on…_______________________________________________________________
