Choose whether you will print original size pages (better for individual students) or enlarged copies (great for group projects). For actual size, print one copy of pages 4-5 for each student. To print enlarged copies, see the detailed instructions on pages 2-3. Print one copy per student/group of instructions and source list, if desired. Print one copy per every two students/groups of the rubric, if desired.
How to Use this Comma Rules Infographic Project
This activity is best used as a review or assessment after students have learned about comma usage because it requires them to apply knowledge of comma rules in the context of a creative project.
Each student or group should choose a theme for their infographic poster. They will make up original sentences related to that theme and add them on the infographic. Each sentence will also demonstrate correct use of a specific comma rule. You may want to provide research time for students to collect information about their chosen themes.
Hang the completed infographics as an eye-catching display for your classroom walls or hallway!
