Use these 36 comma task cards to quiz your students on a variety of comma rules. Students will get practice using commas in a list; to separate clauses; to separate adjectives of equal rank; to separate introductory or interrupter information; to set off nonessential clauses; to set off appositive phrases; with months, date, and years; and with cities and states. Students will also get practice with the Oxford comma and comma splices.
The comma task cards ask students to write sentences using commas, eliminate or add commas to paragraphs, and choose which of three sentences uses commas correctly. Students can record their answers on the included answer sheets, which also include spaces for student questions or comma rules they need to remember. An answer key is also included.
