Fourth Grade Measurement 1 teaches students the different members of the customary length family: inch, foot, yard, mile and when to use them. Students also learn how to convert from one measurement to another. There is a title slide, focus slide, objective, essential question, vocabulary, concept development, demonstration on when to use which measure and how to convert, guided practice, checking for understanding, problem solving with word problem, and a reward slide at the end. For best results, students should have white boards and dry erase markers.
