Fourth Grade Measurement 2 - Metric Length teaches students the different members of the metric length family: millimeter, centimeter, meter, and kilometer and when to use them. They are also taught how to convert from one measurement to another and how to measure with a metric ruler. There is a title slide, focus slide, objective, essential question, vocabulary, concept development, demonstration on how and when to use which metric measurement, guided practice, checking for understanding, problem solving with word problem, and a reward slide at the end. For best results, students should have white boards and dry erase markers. Note: This could take 2 days because of its length.
