Sixth Grade Algebra 3 - Solving Equations with Addition and Subtraction teaches students what an equation is and how to find the unknown or variable by use of the inverse operation. The balance scale is used to show how an equation must be equal on both sides. There is a title slide, focus slide, objective, essential question, vocabulary, concept development, demonstrations, guided practice, checking for understanding, problem solving with word problem, and a reward slide at the end. For best results, students should have white boards and dry erase markers.
